Yellow Kitchen, York

Our clients wanted their kitchen to be a bright, joyful space—full of personality, light, and vibrant colour. Drawn especially to yellow, they were keen to create a bold design that felt uplifting and welcoming. We transformed the space with bright yellow cabinetry, making it the standout feature of the room. This was paired with bold black hardware and fittings for a striking contrast, while natural wooden worktops and grey oak flooring grounded the design, bringing warmth and texture. Bright white subway tiles were introduced to bounce further light around the room and provide a neutral backsplash sat within the bold cabinets. We also added some subtle design elements to provide ultimate functionality, without taking away from the compact floorplan, such as an apron rail, secret kitchen roll holder and a sleek wine rack. The result is a kitchen that beautifully balances bold colour with classic, timeless elements—a truly energising heart of the home.
